How does contextAdults work?

When a page is called for the first time, our server is notified of its existence. At this point no or only a few standard ads will be shown until the page has been scanned.

Within a few moments our spider will fetch a copy of the page and scan it for keywords. After this has happened, the ads will be picked according to the page's content.

From this point on, special ad-links will appear on the page.

Our spider will rescan busy pages after some time. The scanning frequency depends on the traffic on that page. However there's a minimum pause between two scans of 24 hours.

Why would you provide this service for free?

Actually, we don't. However, you don't have to pay for it, neither.

We scrape 1% of your clicks and insert our own affiliate id in the links. That means that exactly every 100th ad-click on your webpage (irrespective of the target of the link) is a click for us while 99 clicks before that and 99 clicks after that are yours.

We think that's a fair trade for both of us.

Is there a way for me to make even more money?

Yes, there is. In your administration area you will find links to affiliate systems we utilize to generate our ads, for example TwistysCash, NubilesCash, SpunkyCash or KayCash (and many others).

When we refer you as a new webmaster, the sponsors will usually pay an commission of some kind to us. That does not change your earnings, but might be lucrative to us if you are successful.

When another webmaster signs up at contextAdults through a referral link of yours, the links to the affiliate systems in his administration area will contain your affiliate id. That means, that you will get the webmaster commission if he signs up for them.

No ads are shown on my page. Why?

The most likely reasons for that are:

1. The page is new and has not been spidered, yet. Wait some minutes and recheck the page.
2. There are no relevant keywords on that page for the sponsors you entered your affiliate ids for. Consider signing up for some more sponsors. If that still does not help, feel free to contact us. We will look at your page and may be able to add keywords which are relevant on your page.
3. Your page utilizes a session id in the url. We already try to filter those out, but there are some cases in which we can't do that automatically. Please contact us to find out if we can help in your special case. You should also consider to avoid session ids since they also have an negative effect on your search engine rankings.

The simple rule is: We earn money when you do. That's the reason why you can expect us to do the best to help you.

I have an german/french/spanish/... page. Can I use contextAdults?

Theoretically yes. However, our ads will only be in english and currently we only support english affiliate systems. This may change in the future.
